8/16/24: Classmates, Thank you to everyone that has registered and paid for the reunion. Prices increase dramatically Sunday. A couple of updates:
Golf We still have some openings so please sign up.
Busses As we get closer I will put out a detailed schedule. The pick-up and drop off points for Thursday, Friday and Sunday are: Historic Inns, Crowne Plaza, Hilton Garden Inn, and the stadium. Saturday the three hotels.
Dress Code: There is no prescribed uniform for each event but please use common sense.
Thursday night registration is casual----but we shouldn’t see cut offs, flip flops and t-shirts.
Memorial Service----it’s the Chapel.Friday night reception----ties are not required, however I would think you would want to dress decently.
Brunch in King Hall—Many will be coming from church services. I recommend a collared shirt.

There is still one issue with the registration site, that evidently takes weeks to fix. I will explain it and open up registration for you. For golf, it is classmates only. We only have enough slots for 74 minus 2 golfers. We will re-evaluate in late August to see if we can open it up to spouses and other guests. So please do not register your guests for golf.
I do want to explain a couple of aspects.
Survey There is a survey for those that intend to use our busses. We need this information for planning purposes. Responding to the survey is not a commitment, just an expression of your intention at this time.
Hardships If you know of a classmate that really wants to attend, but cannot afford to, please let me know. I will be discrete and try to come up with a solution. This could be a self-referral.
Spouses and children of fallen classmates We do want to invite them and not charge them for registration and events fees. (They will have a coupon code). To defray these costs there is an opportunity to voluntarily donate funds during registration. This is not tax deductible. I have no idea how many will join us. If donations exceed requirements, we will add the excess to our class gift.

Classmates, the American Athletic Conference released schedules today. Our 50th reunion will be 19-22 September 2024 Below is a schedule of the major events so you can start planning when you want to arrive. Registration will be available soon on the website. Many vendors would not sign a final agreement, with pricing, until we knew the exact date. I will have a list of hotels soon. Hotels would not sign a contract without the exact date. They needed to know the date for their availability.
We will need tickets to attend the 50th reunion tailgate, which now will be from 1:30-7:15. The time is slightly different from the schedule I sent last week. The football tickets are not included in the reunion fees.
To purchase tickets to sit with the class use the link below. The lower section will be section 1 where we have 300 seats (these are closest to our tailgate). The upper section is 101, right above it. The least expensive seats are in the endzone.
Also note, you may select subgroups to sit with (your company, chess club, athletic team etc).
